Terms of Service

By creating an account or using FunderApply (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and FunderApply ("we," "us," or "our"). We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

FunderApply is an automation platform that helps searchers (entrepreneurs seeking to acquire businesses via search funds or self-funded searches) discover and apply to lender and operating partner opportunities listed on SearchFunder.com.

The Service may include:

• Automated scraping of publicly available SearchFunder listings
• AI-powered match scoring using your profile information
• Automated submission of applications to SearchFunder on your behalf, using credentials and a resume you provide
• AI-generated cover letters personalized to each listing
• An application log and dashboard to track submitted applications

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep your profile up to date.

By uploading a resume or providing a cover letter template, you grant us a limited license to use that content solely for the purpose of submitting applications on your behalf.

You represent that all information you provide is truthful, accurate, and belongs to you. You must not use the Service to submit fraudulent, misleading, or impersonating applications.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to submit applications for someone other than yourself without explicit authorization
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service beyond normal use
• Circumvent any rate limits, subscription gates, or access controls
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit applications with false credentials, fabricated experience, or misleading information

Some features require a paid subscription. Billing is handled by Stripe. Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period and are non-refundable except as required by law.

The Semester Pass is a one-time payment for a fixed access period and does not auto-renew. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time via the billing portal (Settings → Billing); access continues until the end of the paid period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
• Applications submitted through the Service will be received, reviewed, or acted upon by third parties
• AI-generated match scores or cover letters will be accurate, appropriate, or effective
• Scraping of SearchFunder listings will be complete or up-to-date

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost opportunities, missed applications, or reputational harm resulting from automated submissions.

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including SearchFunder, Stripe, Supabase, and Anthropic. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the actions, availability, or policies of third-party services.

FunderApply is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to SearchFunder.com.

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your profile, matches, and application logs are permanently removed.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.
